Rodney 'Bitcoin Rodney' Burton has pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges linked to the operation of an unlicensed money transmitting business.
The fraudulent scheme, known as 'HyperFund,' reportedly involved a staggering $1.8 billion.
Burton now faces a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison as a result of his guilty plea.
